"Elemental" is the debut album of the Stephen Philip Harvey Octet. This collection of music is inspired by the natural and spiritual elements of water, air, earth, and fire. SPH8 performs this suite of six original compositions expressing Stephen’s original interpretation of these elements and the balance they create. Though inspired by the primary elements, these compositions are far from basic—fusing modern harmonies and driving texture, SPH8 brings these forces of nature to the aural landscape. Grounding as earth, lively as fire, fluid as water, and atmospheric as air, Elemental navigates the connections and conjunctions of our surroundings, allowing us to tune back into the world we were made from and for.
